aekido has added a photo to the pool: Playing around with a logo. I’ve wanted to do something with this phrase since taking this photo: www.flickr.com/photos/aekido/4137052184/in/set-7215762275… And had a sudden idea when playing around with another design

Colour Map Zines (Rephotographed)

Nelly. has added a photo to the pool: We were asked to produce a zine on a subject matter of our choice, anything at all. So i decided to combine my love of colour and maps & make a ‘Colour Map Zine’. The idea being that it folds out into an A2 sized map, 6 lines, 6 colours. Instead of stations there are words, phrases and general information associated with the relevant colour. Also where the lines cross there is some information about both colours, maybe what colour they make when mixed, what they’re used for or whether they compliment each other. On the reverse there is a key with a bit more information on each colour and what the colour may be used for. I have gone ahead and made a second issue, I also plan on making more, A2 or A3 in folded out size, 6 different colours in every issue, they can be stuck up on your wall as posters, build the set and get the full Pantone range of colours. If anyone is interested in buying a copy please don’t hesitate to get it touch. Both Issue 1 & 2 photographed again in the studio.

Cygnus

von_brandis has added a photo to the pool: The Black Swan (Cygnus) is one of my favourite images from the stellar atlas Uranographia by the astronomer Johannes Hevelius published in 1690. He was also taught the art of engraving, hence the incredible images he generated.
